Snacks - Bisaya Version

PUTOMAYA - is a steamed glutinous rice flavored with coconut milk and ginger. Midly sweet with a hint of saltiness, usually paired with sikwate (hot chocolate made from pure cacao and brown sugar) or ripe mangoes.

 SUMAN - traditional suman has moved on to many flavors, basically malagkit (sticky rice) wrapped in either banana leaves or coconut leaves.



BAKED BIBINGKA - is a traditional rice cake made from milled glutinous rice, coconut milk, margarine and sugar. Cook in two ways.



STEAMED BIBINGKA - another ways to cook bibingka.



BUDBUD - or suman also known as sticky rice cakes or glutinous rice cakes are quite famous all over the island.


 SAPIN-SAPIN - is a layered glutinous rice and coconut desert in the Philippine cuisine. It is made from rice flour, coconut milk, sugar, water, flavoring. It is usually sprinkled with latik or toasted desiccated coconut flakes sprinkled on top.




BIKO - is a rice cake with caramel topping or latik and here is the recipe for Biko. Biko is usually served during birthday parties, fiestas, and other special events.



CASSAVA CAKE - a chewy and savoury Pinoy delicacy that everyone can satisfy in. The aftertaste of coconut sport (macapuno) cream toppings and creamy texture of cassava, something that every one can enjoyed in. 



BANANA CAKE - The banana recipe may not be as popular as its bread version, but this light and airy dessert should not be disregarded easily.
