In 2002, PSCA opened its doors to Cebuanos for two main reasons:
1. To train food service personnel on the technologically advanced and scientific cooking and baking practices and to offer academic and technical programs consistent with the requirements prescribed by the government and culinary association standards.
2. To acquire accreditation of academic programs with relevant government agencies such as the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) for technical programs below Baccalaureate Level.
3. The School features a spacious and fully equipped teaching kitchen, air conditioned classrooms, a library and other amenities to make learning a pleasant experience.
